Nursing degree, active registered nurse (RN) license and minimum 1+ years RN experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
Deliver critical care in a fast-paced Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU) setting, providing specialized nursing care to patients recovering from cardiac and neurological conditions. This 11-week contract opportunity requires experienced registered nurses (RNs) ready to work night shifts and contribute to an acute care environment that values expertise and dedication.
Key Details:
- Schedule: 3x12-hour night shifts (7:00 PM - 7:00 AM), including holiday rotations
- Patient Ratio: 1 nurse to 2 patients
- Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
- Licensure: Valid SC license or Compact license required prior to start
- Certifications: ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS mandatory
- Experience: Minimum 1 year of nursing experience, preferably 2 years, with cardiac and neuro care background
- Floating: Expectation to float within similar units as per staff needs
- Local travelers are not accepted; candidates must be flexible to relocate or commute within a 60-mile radius
- On-call duties are not required
Responsibilities:
- Monitor and manage critically ill cardiac and neuro patients using advanced nursing practices
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams for optimal patient outcomes
- Utilize Epic charting system to document all aspects of patient care accurately
- Adhere to facility protocols and maintain compliance with regulatory standards
