Cardiovascular Tech — Cardiovascular Tech needed for a travel assignment in San Luis Obispo, California, US. Start date: 04/27/2026. Duration: 13 weeks. Weekly pay: $2,212–$2,259. Guaranteed hours: 0.0. Shift: Day shift 07:00–19:30; Monday, Thursday, and Friday; will cover vacations as needed with on-call duties (2 days per week) and every other weekend. Responsibilities
- Perform adult transthoracic echocardiography (ECHO) including 2D imaging and Doppler to obtain diagnostic-quality studies.
- Conduct vascular ultrasound examinations as needed (arterial and venous duplex assessments).
- Provide pediatric echocardiography support when available, contributing to pediatric cardiac studies.
- Assist with fetal echocardiography studies when indicated and available.
- Maintain equipment, ensure patient safety and comfort, document findings, and communicate results to the medical team.
- Participate in the on-call rotation (two days per week) and every other weekend; cover vacations as needed.
Requirements
- Certifications: RDCS (Required); RVT (Required); Pediatric Echocardiography (PE) (Required); ARDMS-PE or CCI-RCCS (Required)
- Experience: 2+ years in cardiac ultrasound (preferred); 2+ years vascular ultrasound (preferred); 1 year fetal ECHO experience (preferred)
- Additional: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; ability to work day shift and participate in on-call coverage; valid credentials to practice cardiovascular sonography in a hospital setting
