Job DescriptionElectronics Assembly & Test TechnicianWestinghouse Electric Company — Warrendale, PA (Onsite)

Imagine starting your day helping a global leader advance clean energy solutions. At Westinghouse, you’ll join a team that values inventive thinking and the strength of a diverse workforce while supporting engineers who power our customers’ success.

A day in this role

You’ll kick off by reviewing build packages—drawings, materials lists, and production orders—so you know exactly what must be constructed and verified. From there, you’ll assemble and wire cables and subassemblies, keeping an eye on quality and safety. You’ll run continuity checks, make tweaks or repairs as needed, and keep instruments running at their best through routine maintenance. When troubleshooting calls, you’ll use modern techniques and test/calibration gear to isolate issues in electronic instruments and control panels. Hands-on tasks like soldering and crimping are part of your toolkit. Throughout, you’ll collaborate closely with engineers and production teammates, reporting to the Production Manager.

What you’ll do

  • Review and interpret engineering drawings, project documentation, and production directives.
  • Build, wire, and integrate cables and electro-mechanical subassemblies.
  • Perform continuity tests; execute modifications and repairs as needed.
  • Maintain and repair a range of electronic instruments and control equipment.
  • Operate test and calibration equipment to verify performance and troubleshoot.
  • Perform precise soldering and crimping work.

What you bring

  • Associate degree in Electronics or Electrical discipline; recognized technical programs may substitute for formal education.
  • Acceptable alternatives include programs such as Naval Nuclear or other military technical training.

Technical strengths

  • Reading and applying electrical schematics
  • Diagnosing electrical/electronic issues
  • Electrical installation and repair
  • Working knowledge of electrical/electronic systems

Work setup: Onsite in Warrendale, PA. No relocation offered at this time.
