We are seeking a skilled Welder/Fabricator to join our team in fabricating stacking equipment for lumber mills. The role involves using hard wire and flux core/.045 wire on mild steel. The successful candidate will have the ability to read blueprints, cut materials, and fit and fabricate parts. Responsibilities also include rigging and hoisting with an overhead crane and maintaining the welding machines.
Responsibilities
- Fabricate stacking equipment for lumber mills using welding techniques.
- Read and interpret blueprints to guide fabrication processes.
- Cut materials and fit parts according to specifications.
- Rig and hoist materials using overhead cranes.
- Maintain and rewire welding machines, ensuring wire rolls are handled safely.
Essential Skills
- 2+ years of welding/fitting experience.
- Proficiency in MIG welding: Spray arc 90%, Short arc 10%.
- Experience with .035 and .045 wire.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
- Capability to lift and hold 50lbs, setting it down gently.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience with hard wire and flux core welding on mild steel.
- Ability to climb equipment for fitting and welding parts, sometimes one-handed.
- Experience with using overhead cranes.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Spokane Valley, WA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $28.00/hr.
