Project Coordinator – Commercial Construction
Are you ready to take the next step in your construction management career? A well-established and respected Connecticut-based construction management firm is seeking a Project Coordinator to support and grow alongside their project management team. This is a great opportunity for someone who has a solid foundation in commercial construction and is looking for increased ownership, mentorship, and long-term growth.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Assist Project Managers with all phases of construction projects, from preconstruction through closeout
- Coordinate subcontractor activities, material procurement, and schedule tracking
- Review and process RFIs, submittals, change orders, and meeting minutes
- Help maintain project documentation, ensuring all records are accurate and up-to-date
- Communicate with clients, architects, and consultants to support project progress
- Visit job sites to ensure alignment between field and office operations
What We're Looking For:
- 2–5 years of experience in a project support role within the commercial construction industry
- Experience with ground-up and/or renovation projects, ideally in sectors like healthcare, education, or institutional work
- Strong organizational and communication skills with a proactive mindset
- Proficiency in project management software (Procore, MS Project, Bluebeam, etc. a plus)
- A degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field is preferred
