Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
This position is for a Special Education Teacher working onsite in Aurora, CO. The role involves providing specialized instructional support primarily to small groups of 58 students with mild to moderate needs, occasionally participating in an Affective Needs program as required.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized and small group special education instruction.
- Support students with mild to moderate needs in alignment with their Individualized Education Plans (IEPs).
- Collaborate with school staff to implement appropriate teaching strategies.
- Maintain accurate documentation of student progress.
- Participate in meetings and contribute to program development.
Qualifications:
- Valid Colorado Department of Education Teacher License with Special Education endorsement is required.
- DORA certificate/license is not accepted for this position.
- Experience working with special education students in a school setting preferred.
- Ability to work Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 3:45 PM, up to 30 hours per week.
- Commitment to onsite, in-person instruction only (no virtual work).
