Green Ridge Solar is seeking a highly organized and proactive Procurement and Logistics Manager to lead our inventory management, purchasing, warehouse operations, and fleet logistics. This role is responsible for ensuring our operations team has the materials, resources, and infrastructure necessary to successfully complete solar installations on time and on budget. The ideal candidate will bring strong vendor management skills, strategic purchasing expertise, and the ability to drive continuous improvements in logistics and supply chain processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee all aspects of Green Ridge Solar's inventory management, including software systems, physical inventory counts, and warehouse organization.
- Lead procurement efforts, maintaining strong vendor relationships and negotiating favorable pricing and terms for essential materials and equipment.
- Manage warehouse personnel and resources to ensure efficient support for operations and project execution.
- Forecast material needs and develop procurement strategies to align with project schedules and company growth.
- Establish, track, and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to purchasing, inventory turnover, and operational efficiency.
- Collaborate closely with the Director of Operations and CFO to maintain accurate, real-time inventory tracking and financial reporting.
- Optimize and maintain the installation vehicle fleet, ensuring vehicles are properly equipped, maintained, and available for project deployments.
- Drive continuous improvements in logistics, inventory processes, and warehouse operations to support overall company performance.
Team Structure & Reporting
- Directly manage all warehouse and inventory staff.
- Own the projections, purchasing, and tracking of all Green Ridge Solar inventory.
- Report directly to the Director of Operations and maintain open communication with CFO regarding financial and inventory tracking.
Requirements:
Required:
- 3+ years of procurement, inventory management, logistics, or supply chain management experience.
- Proven ability to manage vendor relationships and negotiate pricing/terms.
- Experience managing warehouse operations and supervising staff.
- Strong analytical skills with experience tracking KPIs and improving operational efficiencies.
- Proficiency in inventory management software and Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
Preferred:
- Experience in the renewable energy or construction industry.
- Familiarity with solar installation components and logistics.
- Experience managing vehicle fleets and maintenance schedules.
