About the Role
We are seeking an HR Operations Specialist to support a large-scale HR operations rollout for a well-known retail organization. This role is best suited for someone who can operate in a fast-moving environment, handle Tier 1 HR support, work through operational issues with good judgment, and help improve process flow and documentation along the way.
This is not a basic admin seat. We need someone who can think, communicate clearly, stay organized, and help bring structure to a changing environment.
Duration: Likely 4–6 months, with potential extension based on business need
Schedule: Standard business hours; some roles may support later-day coverage. 8AM-5PM EST, 9AM-6PM EST, or 11AM-8PM EST.
What You'll Be Doing
- Provide Tier 1 support to teammates and internal users
- Respond to questions, troubleshoot issues, and support process adherence
- Assist with HR compliance-related processes
- Create, maintain, and update knowledge articles and process documentation
- Help identify opportunities for process improvement, automation, and operational efficiency
- Support project scoping, testing, implementation, and rollout activities as needed
- Partner across HR and related teams to keep work moving cleanly and accurately
What We're Looking For
- 1–3 years of experience in HR operations, service delivery, shared services, employee support, or a similar operational environment
- Strong written communication skills
- Sharp attention to detail and follow-through
- Ability to work through ambiguity without getting sloppy
- Comfort supporting users through systems, process questions, and operational issues
- Experience with ServiceNow or similar ticketing/support platforms is a plus
- Experience creating SOPs, knowledge articles, or process documentation is strongly preferred
- Bachelor's degree preferred, but not required if experience is strong
