Job Type: Full-Time/Hourly

Location: Whitehall, PA

Reports To: Production Manager / General Manager


Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented 3D Printer Manufacturing Technician to join our production team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assembling, testing, calibrating, and maintaining 3D printers during the manufacturing process. You will work closely with engineering, production management, and R&D teams to ensure that our 3D printers meet the highest standards of performance and reliability.

Requirements:

Key Responsibilities:

· Assemble mechanical, electrical, and electronic components of 3D printers according to provided schematics and instructions.

· Perform calibration, testing, and quality assurance checks on assembled units.

· Troubleshoot and repair issues in hardware during production.

· Maintain accurate records of assembly procedures, test results, and maintenance logs.

· Collaborate with engineers and designers to refine manufacturing processes and suggest improvements.

· Handle basic firmware loading and configuration tasks.

· Inspect incoming parts and materials for quality and conformance.

· Support inventory management and component tracking.

· Ensure workstations comply with safety and cleanliness standards.


Required Qualifications:

· High school diploma or GED; technical school or associate degree in electronics, mechatronics, or a related field preferred.

· 1–3 years of hands-on experience with 3D printers, CNC machines, or similar electromechanical systems.

· Proficiency with hand tools and measurement instruments.

· Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills and manual dexterity.

· Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.


Preferred Qualifications:

· Familiarity with FDM, SLA, or SLS 3D printing technologies.

· Basic understanding of G-code and slicing software (e.g., Cura, PrusaSlicer, etc).

· Strong understanding of mechanical assembly, wiring, and basic electronics.

· Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, wiring diagrams, and schematics.

· Comfortable using diagnostic software and basic command-line interfaces.


Physical Requirements:

· Must be able to lift at least 50 lbs. and stand for extended periods.

· Ability to perform precise hand and arm movements.

· Applicants must be prepared to work in an environment where heating and cooling may be limited or inconsistent.
