Description
American Traveler is hiring a Travel IR RN – CT Scan for a 13-week assignment in a hospital radiology/interventional radiology department, requiring at least 1 year of RN experience and a background in ED or ICU settings.
Details
- Radiology/Interventional Radiology (IR) department at an acute care hospital in Houston, TX
- Procedures include biopsies, ablations, paracentesis, and thoracentesis
- Day shift schedule: 7:30 AM – 5:00 PM
- 13-week contract
- EMR: Meditech Expanse
- Unit is staffed with 1 nurse currently on day shift
Requirements
- Active RN license required (license required if applicable)
- Minimum of 1 year of recent RN experience in the specialty
- ED experience required
- ICU experience required
- BLS certification required (AHA or ARC accepted); certifications must not expire within the first 30 days of the assignment start date
- SSN and DOB required for consideration — no Canadian SSNs accepted
- One professional reference required (two required if licensed in Florida or Missouri)
- Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility — local candidates are not eligible
- No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
Additional Information
- Performs IR nursing duties including patient care and support for image-guided procedures such as biopsies, ablations, paracentesis, and thoracentesis
- A proactive, self-starting personality is a strong fit for this unit
- Royal blue scrubs required
- First-time travelers are not explicitly excluded, but the position requires demonstrated specialty experience
