What Youll Do
- Inspecting workmanship, materials, labor, and safety compliance
- Keeping detailed logs and records of daily activities and defects
- Reviewing environmental controls and project documentation
- Drafting estimates, contract modifications, and on-site correspondence
- Analyzing schedules and preparing progress reports
What You Bring
- Strong communication and listening skills
- Experience working with contractors, agencies, and the public
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and file management systems
- Familiarity with MUTCD, AASHTO, ADA standards, and construction specs
- Ability to work in varied terrain and weather conditions
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stay active on-site
Ideal Candidate Profile
Valid drivers license AND one of the following (based on CI level):
CI-I:
- NICET Level III + 3 years of experience
- OR Associate Degree + 3 years (2 on highway/bridge projects)
- OR 5 years of inspection/project engineering experience
CI-II:
- NICET Level III + 5 years
- OR Associate Degree + 5 years
- OR 7 years of inspection/project engineering experience
CI-III:
- Licensed Professional Engineer OR
- Bachelors in Civil Engineering or Construction Management
- OR NICET Level III + Associate Degree + 7 years
- OR 10 years of inspection/project engineering experience
