Summary

The Wirer reports to the Production Foreman and assumes responsibility for performing duties related to electrical and minor mechanical assembly, establishing, and maintaining effective communications with fellow team members and necessary persons, and for the safety and cleanliness of the warehouse. These duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Drill holes, assemble pipe fittings, strip cables, and run new wires
  • Test run Vapor Recovery Units (VRU’s) upon satisfactory wiring
  • Picks up or receives orders from vendors and returns from clients.
  • Assists with assembly of Platinum products
  • Ensures satisfactory results from QAQC testing of products prior to shipment
  • Communicates inventory purchasing needs or concerns to management.
  • Confirm reports reflecting the current status of inventory items.
  • Assists in periodic physical inventory counts.
  • Maintains cleanliness of the work area and associated equipment.
  • Completes work in a neat and safe manner.
  • Seeks growth in expanding knowledge and skills through training and education.
  • Presents self in clean, neat, professional manner and wears company uniform (if provided) in its entirety.
  • Communicates questions and concerns to management.
  • Engages in the company’s vision and seeks to implement processes and establish goals with the company’s vision in mind.
  • Complies with company policies and procedures.
  • Performs other miscellaneous duties assigned.

SKILLS

  • Ability to express ideas clearly in written and oral communication with team members to complete various duties and responsibilities.
  • Ability to organize excellently.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed written or oral instructions, operations and duties.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding when dealing with any problem.
  • Ability to perform basic math skills including, but not limited to addition, subtraction multiplication, and division in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Ability to apply basic knowledge of computers and office equipment.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Previous warehouse or shipping/receiving experience is considered a plus
  • Previous experience with hand/power tools is a plus
  • Valid Driver’s License
