As a Hilo Driver, you will be responsible for operating sit-down electric battery hilos to transport raw materials from shipping docks to the production line and drive finished products back to the shipping docks for shipment preparation. Additionally, you will be tasked with replacing batteries in hilos and setting them in the charging station.

Responsibilities

  • Operate sit-down electric battery hilos to transport raw materials and finished products between shipping docks and production lines.
  • Prepare finished products for shipment.
  • Replace and charge hilo batteries as needed.

Essential Skills

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Three years of hilo driving experience in a manufacturing setting.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Proficiency in forklift and hilo operations.
  • Experience in a production environment.

Work Environment

The position is located in a brand new $62 million facility in Auburn Hills, featuring a temperature-controlled and clean environment. The facility is equipped with new warehouse equipment throughout. Employees are required to wear lab coats, boots, and safety glasses as part of the dress code. Openings are available for both AM and PM shifts, with a rotating schedule of 4 days on and 3 days off, or 3 days on and 4 days off. Initial orientation will occur on the 1st shift before transitioning to the desired shift.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Lake Orion, MI.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.75/hr.
