Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
An exciting opportunity is available for a certified Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to serve in a traditional elementary school setting specializing in pediatrics. This contract position is located in Warren, MI, and focuses on providing support to students in grades K-5. The role involves managing a caseload of approximately 45-55 students, offering critical speech and language services to help them achieve their communication goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive speech and language evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans.
- Implement evidence-based therapy techniques focused on pediatric needs.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and school staff to support student progress.
- Maintain accurate documentation and progress reports according to district policies.
- Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings and contribute professional expertise.
- Manage a caseload within the assigned elementary school hours of 8:50 a.m. - 4:10 p.m.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Valid Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) in Speech-Language Pathology.
- Completed Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) preferred.
- Experience working with school-aged children in K-5 settings.
- Strong understanding of pediatric speech and language development and disorders.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills for working with diverse student populations.
- Knowledge of school policies and legal requirements related to special education services.
