Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A full-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) opportunity is available to provide essential services to preschool students across multiple daycare locations within a school district in La Fayette, GA. This maternity leave contract position offers the chance to make a meaningful impact on early childhood communication development in diverse educational settings.
Responsibilities include:
- Delivering direct speech and language therapy to approximately 13 PreK students with IEPs, alongside managing case documentation and compliance.
- Serving an itinerant caseload across 4-5 daycare sites, requiring travel within the district (onsite services only).
- Collaborating with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams to support student progress.
- Maintaining accurate records and progress reports aligned with district and state requirements.
Qualifications:
- Active Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) license.
- Georgia Professional Standards Commission (GaPSC) SLP Educator Certificate.
- Previous school-based experience, with PreK or early childhood expertise highly preferred.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage a diverse caseload effectively.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities to engage with educators, caregivers, and students.
Position Details:
- Location: La Fayette, GA.
- Contract duration: Approximately December 22, 2025, through April 6, 2026 (with some flexibility for transition).
- Schedule: Full-time (37.5 to 40 hours per week).
- Service model: Itinerant PreK onsite therapy.
