Premiere Jewelry manufacturer seeks an enthusiastic and self-motivated Shipping Coordinator to oversee all shipping operations including import/export. The right Candidate will work in conjunction with the Director of Operations and will be responsible for all phases of the shipping office from pick-up to delivery. This includes generating Import/Export documentation, confirming Customs requirements, Data Entry, Dispatching, Routing, Tracking and Estimating of all shipments. The position requires constant collaboration with shipping partners, vendors, and customers to assure a seamless experience.
Responsibilities include:
- Producing required shipping documents for both Imports and Exports
- Managing and monitoring all shipments: outgoing and inbound, domestic and international
- Establishing and maintaining relationships with multiple shippers and vendors
- Training and managing subordinates in all phases of international operations
- Communicating with US Customs and foreign agents for shipment coordination
- Following changes in import regulations and implementing operational changes as required
Required Skills:
- Import/Export Compliance Knowledge
- Must possess excellent oral and written communication skills
- Able to make timely and independent decisions
- Minimum 2 years of domestic/international shipping experience
- Prior industry experience with jewelry or fine art shipping or related business a plus
- Familiarity with industry-standard shipping solutions, services and best practices
- Meticulous attention to detail
- Mastery of Microsoft Office
