Location: Rural Montana Region
Schedule: 40 hours per week in the clinic (similar to an urgent care) plus on-call coverage in the Emergency Department
Compensation: $60–$75/hour

About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join a dedicated rural healthcare team providing high-quality, compassionate care across multiple settings. This position includes coverage in both the outpatient clinic and Emergency Department, offering an exceptional opportunity to work with a diverse patient population and build broad clinical experience.
This provider participates in a rotation with other Advanced Practice Providers to deliver care in the clinic, Emergency/Acute setting, and intermediate swing unit.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive physical examinations and compile detailed medical histories.
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests including labs, imaging, and other ancillary services.
- Develop, implement, and monitor patient care plans in collaboration with supervising physicians.
- Provide therapeutic procedures (e.g., wound care, suturing, injections, and immunizations).
- Educate and counsel patients and families on treatment plans and preventive care.
- Participate in on-call rotations as assigned.
- Ensure compliance with all clinical, organizational, and safety standards.
- Contribute to quality improvement initiatives and promote patient-centered care.
Schedule Details
- Clinic hours: 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. (40 hours/week)
- On-call schedule: 10 call shifts per month (24-hour)
- Call coverage includes both in-hospital and after-hours availability.
Qualifications
- Certified Nurse Practitioner (FNP or ACNP) or Physician Assistant (PA-C)
- Active, unrestricted license in applicable state
- Experience in emergency medicine, hospital medicine, trauma, or urgent care preferred
- Strong communication skills and ability to adapt to various clinical environments
