Master's degree in Occupational Therapy, active Occupational Therapist license and 1+ year of Occupational Therapy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A K-12 school located in Chimayo, NM, is seeking a skilled occupational therapist to provide specialized support to students from kindergarten through 8th grade. Qualifications:
- Valid Occupational Therapy certification and licensure appropriate for school-based practice
- Experience working with K-8 age groups in a school setting
- Strong understanding of school-based occupational therapy evaluation and intervention strategies
- Ability to manage and maintain a caseload efficiently and work closely with educators and families
Job Details:
- Start Date: As soon as possible
- End Date: End of the current school year (CSY)
- Hours per week: 37.5
- Days per week: 5
- Age group: Kindergarten through 8th grade
- Caseload specifics and additional school information to be provided upon placement
Responsibilities:
- Conduct occupational therapy assessments and develop individualized treatment plans
- Deliver interventions to support student participation in educational activities
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to facilitate student success
- Maintain accurate documentation in compliance with school policies and state regulations
