Bachelor's degree from an ASHA-accredited university, active Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) license and minimum 1+ years speech-language pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
This opportunity is for a Speech Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to support elementary school students in two schools within the Baltimore, MD area. The assignment runs from mid-February through late May, with the potential to extend into a 4-week Extended School Year (ESY) program in July 2026.
Location:
- Magnolia Elementary, Joppatowne, MD (Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays)
- Prospect Mill Elementary, Bel Air, MD (Mondays and Wednesdays)
Schedule and Caseload:
- 37.5 hours per week
- Serving students from PreK through 5th grade
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide speech and language therapy services under the supervision of a licensed Speech Language Pathologist
- Collaborate with school staff to support student communication goals
- Maintain required documentation and track student progress
- Participate in team meetings and follow district guidelines
Qualifications:
- Active Maryland Professional Licensure as a Speech Language Pathology Assistant
- Compliance with House Bill 486, including completion of a district background check, fingerprinting, and employment history review
- Previous experience in a school setting preferred, serving PreK-5 students
Additional Information:
- Candidates will undergo prescreen interviews to assess suitability; flexible interview times are available between 9-11 a.m. and 2-3 p.m. EST
- Contract arrangements are handled directly with the district for qualified applicants
