Starting Pay Rate - $20.50 to $23.60/hr.
7am - 5:20pm Mon-Friday
The Position:
The Shipping and Receiving Clerk is responsible for coordinating and executing all activities related to incoming and outgoing shipments. This includes receiving, inspecting, and storing materials as well as preparing, packaging, and shipping orders. The clerk ensures inventory accuracy and compliance with safety and company policies.
Duties & Responsibilities:

Operates a forklift and other material handling equipment.

Receives all incoming materials and prepares products and other materials for shipment using computer software and freight bills.

Writes up or checks necessary paperwork in connection with shipments to ensure proper shipment.

Checks inbound and outbound shipments for damage and count.

Inspects forklift and other equipment periodically for proper operation and may perform routine maintenance.

Assembles, packs, and/or packages a wide variety of products or materials.

Inspects for quality, defects, and deviations from specifications.

Takes responsibility for quality of work and resolves unusual operating conditions appropriately.

Modifies work schedule and duties as needed to accommodate Company needs.

Performs all other duties as assigned.
Minimum: High School diploma or G.E.D. certificate;
Preferred Skills/Experience: Minimum One year forklift experience in a warehouse setting, exceptional Computer skills
Routinely able to:
- Manually lift and move product and materials up to 55 lbs. through regular physical exertion, including but not limited to reach forward, reach overhead, lift, carry, crouch and bend.
- Power grip and wrist turn, including the use of hand tools and/or steering for truck.
- Walk, sit or stand for up to 12 hours with intermittent breaks.
- Push / pull 100lbs.
- See, inspect, and evaluate product quality
- Read and understand written work instructions in English
- Work in a non-climate controlled environment, including hot and humid conditions.
- Walk up and down steps
- Climb ladders and stairs of varying height
- Wear task-based Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
- Protective Footwear;
- Hearing Protection
- Protective Eyewear
- Gloves
- Additional PPE may as required by specific tasks
