Job Description

Established electro-mechanical distributor/manufacturer is looking for a full time warehouse clerk to assist in day to day operations.

Schedule is 8am – 5pm, Monday through Friday.

Job Duties

Verify and inspect incoming shipments for damage or discrepancies.

Capture all receiving data into the work management system. Record and report damages or discrepancies via the proper channel.

Maintain inventory by identifying material, recording inventory locations and reporting shortages during cycle counts.

Assist with order shipping using UPS, Fedex, DHL and various LTL carriers.

Maintain a safe and clean work environment by keeping shelves, pallet area, and workstations neat and orderly.

Carry out additional tasks as assigned.

Desired Experience & Qualifications

Microsoft Office: Outlook, Word, Excel

Experience with a Work Management System or ERP

Processing shipments via Fedex, UPS, DHL and various LTL carriers.

Possess knowledge on import/export compliance and regulations (Hazmat, ITAR)

Ability to work independently and handle multiple projects

Minimum knowledge & skill set, and or physical requirements to perform this job are…

Must pass pre-employment background check

High school diploma or equivalent required

Experience in Shipping/Receiving

Excellent communication skills.

Physical requirements: i.e. stand or walk for long periods of time, lifting 50 lbs. overhead, work in a non-climate controlled environment, climb a ladder, and use a pallet jack.

Must be motivated, organized and detail oriented.

Possess problem solving attributes and be able to exercise independent judgment.
