Position Information:

Part Time. We are open Monday through Friday 9am to 5:30pm, and Saturdays 8am to 1:45pm. Closed Sundays and major holidays.

Must be a licensed pharmacy technician. 1 year experience preferred, but not required.

Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.


Responsibilities:

Pharmacy Production

· Type new/refill prescriptions

· Answer phones and help with customers as needed

· Production/compounding of medication –non-sterile

· General pharmacy duties including cleaning, organizing, and refilling supplies

· Communicate with all staff in a professional, respectful, friendly, helpful, and efficient manner


Job Details:
As a family run business we are looking for a new team member that will contribute a positive, productive and friendly mentality to our team. The technician role is customer facing both in person (in store transactions), as well as on the phone. We want outgoing and warm individuals willing to go above and beyond for the customer and their fellow team members. We are looking for a computer savvy technician to help type prescriptions, price compounds, fill capsules, creams or liquid medications. We are a non-sterile compounding pharmacy and work with Hazardous drugs to treat both human and animal customers.


Qualifications:

A current California Pharmacy Technician License is required

· Computer savvy and able to quickly type and learn new programs

· Excellent verbal communication skills

· Ability to work with a variety of personalities in a congenial and productive manner.

· Able to multitask and prioritize the best use of time.

· Must have Customer Service experience.

· Ability to recognize issues and to present solutions when necessary.

· Highly self-motivated and productive. Able to follow task to completion.

· Excellent prioritizing skills, excellent attention to detail. Strong organizational skills.

· Flexible, adaptable as necessary to perform the job. The job description may expand according to necessity.

· Strictly follows HIPPA and confidentiality requirements.

· Mechanical aptitude is very helpful but not required.

Experience:


  • Customer service: 1 year (Preferred)
  • Pharmacy technician experience: 1 year (Preferred)


License/Certification:


  • Pharmacy Technician License (Required)
