PrideStaff is seeking a friendly, customer-focused Customer Service & Sales Associate for a specialized mobility equipment retailer in San Diego. This role serves as the first point of contact for customers entering the showroom and helps individuals and families identify mobility solutions that best meet their needs. The ideal candidate has strong retail customer service experience and is comfortable recommending products, upselling accessories, and presenting alternative solutions such as rentals when appropriate.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet customers and provide a welcoming showroom experience
- Identify customer needs and recommend appropriate mobility products
- Demonstrate product features and explain available options
- Upsell accessories and complementary products when appropriate
- Present alternative solutions such as rental options when applicable
- Maintain product knowledge across available mobility devices and accessories
- Process sales transactions and assist customers with order details
- Maintain an organized showroom and assist with merchandising displays
- Provide general administrative and customer service support
Qualifications
- Previous retail customer service or retail sales experience required
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Comfortable discussing product options and recommending solutions
- Ability to learn technical product information and explain it clearly to customers
- Professional, patient, and empathetic approach to customer interactions
- Ability to work in a fast-paced retail environment
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds with assistance
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in retail environments such as medical equipment, specialty retail, or customer service-focused stores
- Comfortable working with customers who may have mobility challenges or medical needs
- Positive, dependable, and service-oriented mindset
