BRAINBOX, a vibrant event-marketing company, is looking for a Data Entry Specialist to enter data from handwritten paper documents into Excel spreadsheets. The ideal candidate will be familiar with Microsoft Excel and a fast typist with a keen eye for detail. You will report to the Director of Digital Marketing and a senior Data Entry team member. Understanding of confidentiality principles is required.
Work hours are flexible based on schedule but can only occur between 9 a.m. – 5 p.m, Monday through Friday. No evenings or weekends. Estimated 20 - 30 hours per week.
Responsibilities

Type in confidential handwritten data provided directly from customers.

Verify data by comparing it to source documents.

Validate data through secondary sources.

Retrieve missing data, such as zip codes, from internet search.

Perform regular backups to ensure data preservation.

Sort and organize paperwork after entering data to ensure it is not lost.
Skills
-
Fast typing skills. Knowledge of touch-typing is necessary.

High degree of input accuracy

Great attention to detail

Basic understanding of databases

Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, etc.)

Basic knowledge of Microsoft Teams or similar systems (Google Drive, Dropbox, etc.)

Working knowledge of office equipment and computer hardware
