Role Description

This is a part-time (with room for growth to our full time postion) , on-site Dog Walker role based in New York, NY. The Dog Walker will be responsible for safely walking dogs on scheduled routes, ensuring exercise, stimulation, and appropriate socialization. Daily tasks include picking up dogs from their homes, following client instructions for harnessing and handling, monitoring dog behavior, and maintaining a clean and safe walking environment. The role involves communicating with the team at the daycare facity as well as the managment team on site and remote about each walk, noting any health or behavior concerns, and using company tools or apps to update schedules and report visits. The Dog Walker may also assist with basic pet care tasks such as providing water, light feeding as instructed, and ensuring secure entry and exit from client homes.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess strong Animal Care and Pet Care skills, with a focus on safety and well-being.
- Candidates should have a strong knowledge of Dog Behavior and practical Dog Training fundamentals to manage different temperaments.
- Candidates are required to have clear and respectful Communication skills for interacting with clients and team members.
- Reliability, punctuality, and strong time management skills.
- Comfort walking multiple dogs and working outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Ability to follow detailed instructions and maintain accurate records of visits.
- Prior professional experience with animals or pet services is beneficial.
- Legal authorization to work in the U.S. and ability to pass any required background checks.
