General Purpose of the Position

Responsible for planning, organizing, directing, and controlling the resources under their supervision (personnel, budget, equipment, and materials) to meet the technical, cost, and time requirements necessary to successfully complete the project(s) assigned, according to budget. Drives project progress through decision‑making aimed at achieving objectives. All responsibilities are carried out within the framework of the company’s goals and aligned with our client’s organizational culture.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Defines project goals and objectives: project scope, schedule, start date, delivery date, estimated time to complete tasks, and list of materials and tools required for execution, ensuring they are clear and achievable based on company capabilities.
  • Ensures the project has the necessary and appropriate personnel, materials, tools, safety equipment, work plan, and resources to complete each phase efficiently and effectively.
  • Plans, coordinates, executes, and controls operational and administrative tasks for approved projects through completion, ensuring deadlines, quality standards, and commitments are met.
  • Anticipates, identifies, and evaluates potential risks that may impact project performance and proposes mitigation strategies, solutions, and preventive measures to meet established objectives.
  • Defines, communicates, and ensures compliance with team performance parameters (KPIs).
  • Supervises and manages assigned personnel.
  • Aligns project execution with the company’s strategic direction.
  • Manages and optimizes resources assigned to each project (budget, equipment, human resources, financial resources, etc.).
  • Provides reports on deviations from the original work plan that result in significant delays and/or budget overruns.
  • Ensures the three project constraints (quality, cost, and time) are properly managed according to defined performance standards.
  • Ensures project personnel receive all necessary information through pre‑project meetings and keeps them informed of progress, delays, schedule changes, and other updates through available communication channels.
  • Supports the development of documentation applicable to processes once the project is in production (service forms, procedures, contingency procedures, manuals, etc.).
  • Ensures team members receive the necessary training to perform at their highest potential.
  • Evaluates project risks according to Occupational Health and Safety parameters and their financial impact.
  • Submits material requisitions to the Procurement Department in a timely manner, following established procedures.
  • Manages, monitors, and resolves project‑related issues and changes.
  • Manages, updates, and ensures compliance with the project process flowchart.
  • Prepares project‑related reports as requested by management or required by the client.
  • Documents and maintains records related to project scheduling processes.
  • Enforces and promotes Occupational Safety policies within the team.
  • Promotes teamwork and collaboration with internal and external clients, as well as support departments.
  • Makes decisions related to leadership, achievement of goals, and compliance with performance parameters (KPIs).
  • Reports to the project site when necessary.
  • Conducts performance evaluations for assigned personnel and ensures corrective actions are implemented when needed.
  • Ensures vehicles and equipment under their responsibility receive proper maintenance.
  • Utilizes technological tools, methods, metrics, and master project schedules effectively.


Position Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering
  • 5 years of verifiable experience in project planning and project management
  • Bilingual (Spanish/English)
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Proficiency with computer systems, including but not limited to: Microsoft Office 365, Zoho Books, Zoho Projects, etc.


Work Schedule

Monday to Friday
7:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.


Compensation

  • $50,000 annually (exempt)
