Job Description

Schoenfelder PM’s complete hotel, multi-unit housing (senior, student), retail and restaurant renovations on time and on budget by planning, organizing, managing the team, the project and the client.


Our projects are located all over the US. You must be ok with 25-35% travel by air.


Knowledge/Experience: General construction knowledge is required. Familiarity with painting, flooring, VWC, drywall, countertops, suspended ceilings, cabinetry, FFE, windows, tuckpointing, sealants, scaffolding, staging, inventory and basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC and EIFS is preferred.


General Duties: Build and lead a team to renovate existing properties on time and on budget. Hire, manage and supervise sub-contractors, along with direct assistance from Site Superintendent, who is also an employee. Develop the client relationship by delivering great service and innovative solutions.


Coordinate with the Estimating Department regarding subcontractor bids, sourced materials, building additional proposals and timely change orders. Manage construction budget by monitoring project expenditures; compiling subcontractor payroll, identifying variances, and negotiating change orders. Build and execute construction schedules, establish and monitor quality standards on behalf of client.


Essential Skills/Functions:

•Minimum of 5-7 years of direct Project Management, quality control, purchasing, supervision of people, managing profitability, delegation, supply (inventory) management, attention to detail.

•Take full accountability for anything and everything related to projects including the budget.

•Demonstrate ability to lead a full team in a positive manner to full sign-off and close out of all projects.

•High technical ability with Excel, Bluebeam, Stack, Procore a plus.

•Skilled in progress reporting, forecasting, scheduling, showing others what you need from them to succeed as a team.

•Daily and frequent computer and phone use.

•Valid driver’s license for rentals.

•Ability to sit, stand, walk, climb stairs, physically inspect work quality by bending, stretching.

•Clear understanding of blueprints, plan drawings.

•Negotiating skills and comfortable asking for the next project.

•Regular and prompt attendance either in the office or on the project site.
