Nursing degree, active registered nurse (RN) license and minimum 1+ years RN experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A nursing opportunity is available in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) at a hospital located in Fort Wainwright, AK. This full-time, contract role involves working three 12-hour shifts, with weekend duties approximately five shifts every six weeks. Voluntary on-call and holiday work may be necessary depending on staffing needs. Candidates should be prepared to float to other units within the hospital as required.

Responsibilities include comprehensive assessments of neonatal patients covering physical, psychological, social, developmental, and cultural needs. You will collaborate closely with patients' families and the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans. Continuous review of diagnostics and laboratory data, along with timely communication of abnormal findings to physicians, is essential. Proper documentation and adherence to policies are required throughout the care process.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Active RN license with at least one year of professional experience.
• Proficiency in NICU nursing practices and neonatal patient care.
• Strong assessment, planning, and communication skills.
• Ability to collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
• Flexibility to work various shifts including weekends, holidays, and call.
