Job DescriptionWe are looking for an experienced Investment Accountant to join a reputable real estate firm in Beverly Hills, California. This role is ideal for someone who is detail oriented and has a solid background in accounting, particularly within the real estate investment and development sector. You will play a key role in managing financial processes and ensuring accurate reporting for multifamily investments and syndications.
Responsibilities:
• Perform month-end closing activities, ensuring accurate and timely reporting.
• Maintain and reconcile the general ledger, ensuring all journal entries are correctly recorded.
• Conduct thorough account and bank reconciliations to ensure financial accuracy.
• Utilize QuickBooks to manage accounting operations and streamline processes.
• Analyze financial data related to real estate investments and development projects.
• Prepare detailed reports for multifamily investment portfolios and syndications.
• Collaborate with internal teams to support financial decision-making and strategy.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
• Monitor and address discrepancies in financial records or transactions.
• Assist in audits and provide necessary documentation to external auditors.• Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience, preferably in real estate investment or development.
• Proficiency in QuickBooks and other relevant accounting software.
• Strong knowledge of month-end close, general ledger maintenance, and journal entry processes.
• Experience with account and bank reconciliations.
• Familiarity with multifamily investments and syndications.
• Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
