Position Overview
The Controls Engineer will be responsible for supporting the design, development, and maintenance of control systems used in manufacturing processes. This role aims to improve operational efficiency and product quality through the implementation of continuous improvement strategies.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze plant processes, control systems, and implement improvements.
- Integration of new equipment for efficient and SAFE operation.
- Assist maintenance troubleshooting issues with hardware and processes when requested.
- Collaborate with Engineering and Manufacturing teams to expand and maintain the SCADA system.
- Work with others to detect problems and implement solutions on existing equipment to improve uptime.
- Maintain quality and ensure safety standards are upheld.
- Work with outside contractors on CapEx projects as needed to meet budget and timelines.
- Monitor and analyze control systems to improve reliability and reduce cycle times.
Qualifications
- Associates Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Electro-mechanical Engineering
- 3+ years experience with Rockwell products:
- Studio5000
- FactoryTalk Automation
- FactoryTalk View
- Asset Centre
- Drives - Experience with Mitsubishi controllers
- Robot controls
- AutoCAD/2D.
