We are seeking an Associate Scientist II to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have experience in biochemical and biophysical analysis of large molecules and biologics under cGMP and a proven ability to execute analytical methods, document results, and support stability and product development studies.
Schedule and Work Arrangement:
- Onsite position.
- Shift: Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
Responsibilities:
- Perform testing for large molecule and biologics product development and stability studies under cGMP.
- Execute compendial assays such as appearance, pH, osmolality, particulate measurements, and viscosity.
- Utilize UV-Vis and HPLC/UPLC methods, including SEC, IEX, RP-HPLC, HIC, peptide mapping, and glycan analysis.
- Apply aggregation and characterization techniques such as MFI, AUC, and SEC-MALS.
- Perform capillary and gel electrophoresis, including CE-SDS, SDS-PAGE, icIEF/IEF, and western blot.
- Conduct biophysical analyses using FTIR, circular dichroism, intrinsic fluorescence, and DSC.
- Draft simple methods, method forms, and result reports with legible, accurate, and thorough documentation to meet regulatory compliance.
- Train on 1–2 methods or techniques and perform ad hoc sample testing as required.
- Operate laboratory equipment safely and in alignment with policies and procedures.
- Adhere to quality, safety, and ethical practices and support team communications.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences or Physical Sciences.
- Foundational knowledge of biology, chemistry, or biochemistry principles.
- Ability to follow SOPs and cGMP documentation practices.
- Basic proficiency with analytical techniques such as UV-Vis, HPLC/UPLC, electrophoresis, and biophysical assays.
- Strong written and verbal communication with internal stakeholders.
- Organized with the ability to multitask, meet deadlines, and apply critical thinking with attention to detail.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience applying cGMP in large molecule analytical testing.
- Familiarity with stability study execution and reporting.
