\n\nRequired Qualifications (Ultrasound Tech / Sonographer)\n

\n
• Minimum 1 year of experience as an Ultrasound Technologist or Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (DMS)\n
• ARDMS certification required (Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer)\n
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required\n
• Experience with Cerner charting system preferred — experience documenting ER/acute care exams a plus\n
• Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions and declinations allowed)\n
• Local candidates within 50 miles are not accepted (travel assignment requirement)\n

\n\nKey Responsibilities — ER / Hospital Ultrasound\n

\n
• Perform a wide variety of ultrasound scans in the Emergency Department, including abdominal, obstetric, pelvic, vascular, transthoracic echo, pediatric, and trauma-focused exams\n
• Provide point-of-care ultrasound (POCUS) and rapid diagnostic imaging support for emergency clinicians and Rapid Response teams\n
• Operate portable ultrasound equipment and in-house systems from Siemens and Philips; ensure proper set-up and image optimization\n
• Follow isolation precautions and use PPE appropriately to protect patients and staff\n
• Document exam findings accurately and efficiently in Cerner or the facility’s EMR; communicate critical results to the care team\n
• Deliver compassionate, patient-centered care to individuals of all ages in a fast-paced ER setting\n
• Collaborate closely with Radiology, ED physicians, nurses, and allied health professionals to support clinical decision-making\n
