Job DescriptionPosition Summary
The Senior Nutritionist leads advanced nutrition programs, providing expert guidance on dietary plans, wellness initiatives, and clinical nutrition interventions. This role involves supervising junior nutrition staff, developing comprehensive nutrition strategies, monitoring program outcomes, and collaborating with healthcare teams to enhance patient and community health. The Senior Nutritionist ensures adherence to evidence-based nutrition practices and regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities

Advanced Nutrition Assessment & Planning

Conduct in-depth evaluations of clients’ nutritional needs, medical history, and lifestyle factors.

Develop and implement personalized nutrition plans for individuals and groups, including those with complex medical conditions.

Monitor and adjust dietary plans based on progress and health outcomes.

Program & Staff Supervision
-
Supervise, mentor, and train junior nutritionists and dietitians.

Oversee nutrition programs, wellness initiatives, and community health projects.

Ensure quality and consistency of nutrition services provided by the team.

Clinical Collaboration & Consultation

Work with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to integrate nutrition into treatment plans.

Provide expert advice on diet therapy, supplementation, and lifestyle interventions.

Participate in case discussions, medical rounds, and health planning meetings.

Education & Outreach
-
Conduct workshops, seminars, and training sessions on nutrition and wellness.

Prepare educational materials for patients, staff, and community members.

Promote awareness of healthy eating practices and preventive healthcare.

Documentation & Compliance

Maintain detailed records of client assessments, nutrition plans, and program outcomes.

Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, clinical guidelines, and organizational policies.

Contribute to research, audits, and reporting on nutrition initiatives.

Qualifications

Education:
-
Bachelor’s degree in Nutrition, Dietetics, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.

Registered Dietitian (RD) or equivalent certification.

Experience:

5+ years of experience in clinical nutrition, wellness programs, or community health.

Prior experience in supervising or mentoring junior staff preferred.
