Licensed Vocational Nurse Responsibilities:
Provides direct patient care as defined in the State's Nurse Practice Act.
Implements a plan of care initiated by the registered nurse.
Provides accurate and timely documentation consistent with the plan of care.
Assesses and provides patient and family/caregiver education and information pertinent to diagnosis and plan of care.
Prepares and coordinates clinical notes and progress notes.
Registered Nurse Responsibilities:
Including LVN responsibilities
Continuously observes and assesses patient condition and care needs and reports changes in condition to the supervisor and/or physician as appropriate.
Takes appropriate nursing action based on assessment and achieves expected outcomes.
Recognizes changes in patient needs and responses requiring intervention and implements care to prevent risk or reduce risk.
Provide care utilizing infection control measures that protect both the staff and the patient according to OSHA standards.
Maintain knowledge of competencies related to the nursing profession by participating in educational programs, continuing education units, internal learning management skills, and skill evaluations.
Qualifications
Current CA Nurse License.
1 year of experience is a PLUS.
Pediatric experience is a PLUS.
