Production Coordinator– Machine Shop
Location: Houston, TX 77075
Pay: Up to $20/hr (Depending on Experience)
Schedule: 6:00 am – 5:00 pm, Mon-Fri. and some Saturdays
Job Description
We are seeking an organized and detail-oriented Administrative Order Entry Scheduler to support our machine shop operations. This position will be responsible for customer communication, order entry, scheduling, document review, and assisting with production workflow. The ideal candidate will have strong computer skills, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities
- Communicate professionally with customers regarding orders and updates
- Process and enter customer orders accurately into company systems
- Coordinate scheduling and workflow with the machine shop team
- Review travelers, work orders, and production documentation
- Read and interpret basic drawings and shop documents
- Assist with tracking jobs through the shop process
- Maintain accurate records and documentation
- Utilize Microsoft Office and ERP systems for daily tasks
- Support administrative and production coordination needs
Qualifications
- Previous administrative, order entry, scheduling, or customer service experience preferred
- Experience working in a manufacturing or machine shop environment a plus
- Ability to read and understand drawings/work instructions preferred
- Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office
- Experience using ERP systems preferred
- Excellent organization and attention to detail
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Ability to multitask and prioritize in a busy environment
