Requirements:

• Valid state occupational therapy license COTA
• At least 1 year of experience working with the pediatric population

Job SummaryWe are seeking an Occupational Therapist Assistant to join our team! The ideal candidate has a compassionate style of care, has strong communication and interpersonal skills, has experience working with the pediatric population, and is comfortable working in a multidisciplinary setting.
Responsibilities

• Carry out therapy interventions designed by the OT.
• Adapt activities to meet the needs of the patient.
• Help clients practice self-care, mobility, and work-related tasks.
• Provide hands-on support during therapeutic exercises or activities.
• Record patient performance and responses to therapy.
• Report observations and suggest adjustments to the supervising OT.
• Teach patients and families how to continue therapy at home.
• Provide training on adaptive equipment and assistive devices.
• Ensure therapy sessions are safe, comfortable, and effective.
• Follow infection control, safety, and ethical standards.
  
  

Qualifications

• Must hold the required state license for occupational therapy
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Excellent organizational skills
• Good attention to detail
• The ability to stay positive and compassionate over a long period of time with patients
