Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented Purchasing and Inventory Planning Analyst to support inventory availability and working-capital control through data analysis and ERP-based planning. This role focuses on maintaining inventory parameters, monitoring stock performance, and providing data-driven recommendations to the Purchasing team.This is an analytical support position. The role does not negotiate with vendors, place purchase orders, or manage staff. Responsibilities follow defined procedures, approval workflows, and internal controls.
Key Responsibilities
Inventory Planning Support
Maintain and update Min/Max levels, reorder points, and safety stock within the ERP system
Monitor inventory levels by SKU and location to support service levels
Review historical usage and basic trends to support replenishment planning
Ensure inventory planning parameters are accurate and consistently maintained
Inventory Monitoring & Analysis
Track inventory turnover, aging, and slow-moving items
Identify potential stock-outs, excess inventory, and obsolete items and escalate findings
Prepare routine inventory reports for Purchasing and Operations
Support periodic inventory reviews and cycle count analysisPurchasing Coordination (Support Role)
Coordinate with Purchasing to support purchase planning and timing
Review system-generated replenishment recommendations (MRP / reorder suggestions)
Provide analytical input prior to purchase execution
Follow established approval and escalation procedures
ERP & Data Accuracy
Maintain inventory planning data within ERP systems (SAP Business One, Macola, or Sage preferred)
Validate item master data, lead times, and usage history
Assist with data cleanup, standardization, and process documentation
Follow established inventory and internal control policies
Regional Support
Provide inventory planning support for Central America affiliates
Assist in standardizing inventory parameters and reporting across locations
Support coordination between regional warehouses and U.S. purchasing teams
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
2–4 years of experience in inventory planning, purchasing support, or supply chain analysis
Working knowledge of ERP inventory modules (SAP Business One, Macola, or Sage preferred)
Strong Excel skills; experience working with structured reports and data
Experience or knowledge in data analysis preferred
Familiarity with Microsoft Office and Power BI
Bilingual Spanish / English (required)
Highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable working within defined processes
