Advanced Interventional Cardiology Fellowship in Structural Heart Disease

We are offering a one-year non-ACGME clinical fellowship in Advanced Interventional Cardiology, specifically in Structural Heart Disease, for those who will have completed an Interventional Cardiology training program by June 2026. This fellowship is led by a distinguished expert in the field, Dr. Chad Kliger. The program is multidisciplinary, providing thorough training in transcatheter therapies such as:

  • Transcatheter aortic valve replacement
  • M-TEER and T-TEER
  • TTVR
  • Paravalvular leak closures
  • PFO/ASD closures
  • Left atrial appendage occlusion devices

Additionally, fellows will receive education in advanced echocardiography and CT imaging, essential for managing complex structural heart patients. The program also focuses on advanced operative techniques, particularly in minimally invasive and robotic cardiac surgery, and provides significant opportunities for clinical research.

This fellowship is open to applicants who are board certified or board eligible in both adult cardiology and interventional cardiology.

Established in 1857, our facility is a 450-bed acute care hospital located in Manhattan’s Upper East Side. Our faculty includes two Structural Heart Interventional Cardiologists, a Structural Echocardiographer, and five Cardiac Surgeons, all dedicated to mentoring and nurturing the next generation of exceptional physicians to serve our community.

Application Deadline: December 31, 2025

Compensation for full-time clinical training ranges from $70,000 to $100,000, influenced by various factors such as specialty, experience level, quality of care, academic achievements, patient satisfaction, and productivity. The stated compensation range reflects a good faith estimate of potential base salary at the time of this posting and may be subject to change in the future.
