A school district in Absecon, NJ is seeking an experienced school psychologist to join their educational team. This position involves supporting students academic, social, and emotional needs by conducting assessments, developing intervention plans, and collaborating with educators and families. The role requires travel between schools within the district to provide services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct psychological assessments to evaluate students' learning, behavioral, and emotional needs
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and administrators to support student success
- Provide counseling and crisis intervention services as needed
- Attend meetings and contribute to multidisciplinary team discussions
- Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with state and federal regulations
Qualifications:
- Master's or doctoral degree in School Psychology from an accredited program
- Valid State of New Jersey School Psychologist Certification or eligibility for certification
- Experience working with diverse student populations in a school setting
- Strong knowledge of psychological assessment tools and intervention strategies
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability and willingness to travel between district schools
