Nursing degree, active registered nurse (RN) license and minimum 1+ years MS RN experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

This 13-week contract opportunity offers hands-on experience at a renowned teaching hospital with a reputation for excellent teamwork, supportive leadership, and a commitment to continuous learning. Enjoy a bi-weekly orientation and guaranteed hours (36 per week, with 48-hour options), while contributing to a unit delivering high-quality patient-centered care.
Schedule/Hours:
- 12-hour night shifts, 6:30 p.m. – 7:00 a.m.
- Three weekends required within each six-week schedule
- Holiday rotations: every other holiday
Qualifications:
- Active, current compact nursing license
- Two years of strong medical-surgical nursing experience; one travel assignment minimum
- Previous experience in a Level II trauma environment
- AHA BLS and NIHSS certifications (must be submitted with application)
- Recent EPIC charting experience (required; checkoff class on site)
- Proficiency in PIV insertion, wound care, ostomy care, chest tube/drain management, blood product administration, stable drips (heparin, lasix, protonix), tele interpretation, and more
- Demonstrated strength in assessment, adaptability, critical thinking, and resilience
- Must possess strong teamwork and communication skills; social candidates encouraged
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver comprehensive care to post-surgical, trauma, and diverse med/surg patients
- Collaborate closely with interdisciplinary teams and participate in teaching environment, including precepting students and new hires
- Float as needed within the skillset to affiliated locations, with advance notice provided for cross-campus assignments
- Maintain excellent documentation and regularly engage in quality improvement initiatives
