Job Description
We're looking for a highly organized, detail-oriented intern to join our Product Development team for the summer. This is a hands-on role — you'll spend the season building out and matching up our physical and digital material, color, and trim libraries in our PLM system. Your work will directly support how our PD team sources, samples, and approves materials every day. You will get a first-hand experience with the infrastructure of how product gets made, working directly with our global supplier base, getting an inside look of the Product Development process.
Primary Responsibilities
- Library Management: Assist in building out our physical and digital libraries for materials and trims.
- Color Standards: Work with Pantone and vendor color cards: Matching our existing color library to these industry standards.
- Zipper Development: Conduct audits of zipper standards to confirm approved developments match across all vendors, ensuring naming accuracy and physical sample availability.
- Digital Documentation: Execute image upload projects within the PLM system (Centric) for all materials, trims, and color swatches.
- Bulk Approvals: Support the visual bulk review process by pulling standards, conducting reviews, and communicating comments to mills or factories.
- Vendor Communication: Assist with weekly sample and lab dip tracking reports to maintain clear communication with manufacturers.
- Sample Work: Perform hands-on tasks including measuring, punching, weighing and labeling material and garment samples to ensure accurate records.
Qualifications
- Pursuing a degree in Fashion Merchandising, Product Development, Textile Science, or a related field
- Extremely organized and detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy.
- Comfortable in Excel and willing to learn PLM tools (Centric) and Adobe Illustrator
- Genuine interest in materials and trims, and a good eye for color.
- Able to work independently and manage multiple ongoing projects.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for interacting with internal teams and global vendors.
Internship Timing/ Hours
- Start Date: Flexible within May–June 2026.
- Duration: Full-time, 10–12 weeks (May – August 2026).
