This opportunity seeks a Registered Nurse with Cardio-Vascular Operating Room (CVOR) experience to provide exceptional perioperative care for adult patients. Positioned in Bessemer, AL, this contract role involves delivering specialized nursing services in a cutting-edge cardiovascular surgical environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide focused nursing care in a designated CVOR setting with 2 specialized cardiovascular operating rooms.
- Maintain a 1:1 patient ratio to ensure individualized attention and optimal patient outcomes.
- Support surgical teams by effectively scrubbing and circulating during procedures as needed.
- Adhere to established protocols including ACLS, BLS, and NIH certifications, ensuring patient safety and regulatory compliance.
- Participate in call rotations every other day and weekend to provide continuous care coverage.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Current RN licensure with a minimum of 1 year of demonstrated experience in CVOR nursing.
- Required certifications include ACLS, BLS, and NIH (AHA approved).
- Proficiency with Cerner SurgiNet EMR system is advantageous.
- Ability to scrub and circulate is highly desired.
- Consistent professional appearance in navy blue scrub attire, complying with dress code policies.
Schedule & Hours:
- Day shift from 5:45 AM to 2:15 PM
- Guaranteed 36 hours per week
- Call requirements every other day and weekend (on-call basis)
