Strategic Scope & Key Responsibilities
Clinical Governance & Strategic Leadership
- Architect Operations: Formulate, direct, and innovate the comprehensive strategic operations of the Nursing Services Department in strict alignment with cutting-edge state and federal healthcare regulations.
- Executive Administration: Act as the primary institutional authority in the absence of the Administrator, ensuring seamless facility continuity and operational integrity.
- Culture Cultivation: Champion an organizational culture anchored in psychological safety, high-performance teamwork, and mutual professional respect.
Quality Assurance & Clinical Innovation
QAPI Leadership:Spearhead Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement (QAPI) initiatives, driving data-informed interventions to elevate patient outcomes
- Regulatory Mastery: Direct institutional preparation for state and federal inspection surveys; design and execute sophisticated Plans of Correction (PoC) when necessary.
- Infection Prevention Advocacy: Govern the facility's infection control and epidemiological protocols to guarantee a secure, world-class care environment.
Interdisciplinary Collaboration & Advisory
- Strategic Admissions: Serve as a critical decision-maker on the admissions board to optimize clinical fit, census dynamics, and care capacity.
- Interdisciplinary Synthesis: Partner with medical directors, specialist physicians, consultants, and public health agencies to resolve complex clinical challenges.
- Stakeholder Relations: Facilitate high-level communication with families, patients, and advocacy groups to maintain transparent, exceptional community trust.
Workforce & Resource Optimization
- Talent Acquisition & Development: Oversee elite recruitment, rigorous performance evaluations, and progressive professional development tracks for all nursing personnel.
- Fiscal Stewardship: Collaborate on the development of the departmental, medical, and central supply budgets to maximize resource efficiency without compromising care.
- Clinical Supervision: Lead executive rounds and clinical observations to audit care delivery, driving advanced in-service educational curriculums.
Candidate Qualifications
- Academic Credentials: A Degree in Nursing from an accredited, top-tier collegiate institution.
- Proven Leadership: A minimum of three (3) years of distinguished supervisory or executive leadership experience within a hospital, high-acuity rehabilitation matrix, or skilled nursing ecosystem.
- Licensure: Current, unrestricted license as a Registered Nurse (RN) within the practicing state.
- Regulatory Expertise: Deep, commanding knowledge of clinical medicine, healthcare law, and long-term care regulatory frameworks.
- Life Support: Current CPR/BLS certification.
