We are looking for a reliable and motivated Warehouse Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will assist in the smooth operation of our warehouse by supporting inventory management, order fulfillment, and daily warehouse operations. There is a driving component to this job as well, there are times when we deliver directly to our customers. The Warehouse Assistant will work closely with the warehouse team to ensure accurate, timely, and efficient deliveries.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in receiving, unloading, and inspecting incoming shipments.
- Verify that materials received are as ordered
- Organize and maintain inventory in the warehouse, ensuring materials are easily accessible, and stored properly.
- Pick, pack, and prepare orders for shipping in a timely and accurate manner.
- Load and unload delivery trucks
- Operate warehouse equipment, such as forklifts and hand trucks (training provided).
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment by following safety guidelines and reporting hazards.
- Assist with stocktaking and inventory checks on a regular basis.
- Ensure proper documentation of materials entering or leaving the warehouse.
- Deliver orders as needed
Qualifications:
- Valid California Driver’s License
- High school diploma or equivalent (preferred).
- Previous experience in a warehouse or similar environment is a plus (in the plumbing industry, even better).
- Basic understanding of inventory control and warehouse operations.
- Ability to lift heavy items (up to 80 lbs.) and work in a physically demanding environment.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Good communication skills and ability to work well within a team.
- Forklift certification (or willingness to obtain certification) is a plus.
- Basic computer skills for inventory tracking and order processing.
- Familiarity with using UPS World Ship is a plus
