OVERALL
PURPOSE:
The Assistant Quality Assurance Manager is responsible for assisting the Quality Assurance Manager for the overall development, implementation, and maintenance of the organization’s Quality Management System (QMS).
ACCOUNTABILITIES/Competencies:
•Represent Quality Assurance for design reviews, process reviews and, contract reviews.•Represent Quality Assurance for audits (Internal/External) typically done as a team but at times you will be required to do the audit independently. •Represent Quality Assurance with customer concerns/investigations/meetings•Generate/Revise/review Policies/Procedures/Forms•Review/Approve Supplier Submitted Documentations•Lead effective problem solving teams Eight Disciplines Problem-Solving Methodology (8D/Root Cause Corrective Action/RCCA)•Identify continuous improvement opportunities and develop solutions•Create measurement tool selections for drawing dimensions•Perform risk evaluations•Review/Approve Supplier Submitted Documentations•Conduct on-going training (as required) for employees•Coordinate Efforts Among Different Departments•Read and interpret drawings•Supervise various Quality Assurance Employees•Assist various departments to support continuous improvement•Ability to work required hours as needed (audits are scheduled in advance but are sometimes outside normal working hours)•Other duties as assigned by supervision/management
EDUCATION/
SKILLS/
EXPERIENCE:
Educational Desirable:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Quality Management or Mechanical Engineering or applicable experience
Experience Desirable:
-(5+) years working in an Aerospace Production environment-Inspection technique knowledge including CMM’s-Problem solving - RCCA/8D-Aerospace Auditing/ISO Auditing-Bonus: Circumferential Seal knowledge-Bonus: (5+) years working in a Nuclear environment-Willing to train the right candidate
Skills Required:
