Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
This opportunity is for a Special Education Teacher working with students across K-12 grade levels in a school setting located in Vincennes, IN. The position offers a contract from as soon as possible through the end of the school year, providing flexibility and professional growth in a dynamic educational environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized instruction and support to students with special needs in self-contained, resource, and special day classrooms
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to create and implement tailored educational plans
- Monitor student progress and adapt teaching strategies to meet diverse learning needs
- Maintain accurate documentation and communicate effectively with parents and staff
Qualifications and Experience:
- Active State License in Special Education required
- Experience teaching special education across multiple grade bands (K-5, 6-8, and 9-12) preferred
- Knowledge of best practices for differentiated instruction and individualized education programs (IEPs)
- Strong communication and organizational skills
Position Details:
- Work schedule: 5 days per week, 30-37.5 hours per week
- Compensation: $37-41+/hour, commensurate with experience
- Age Group: Kindergarten through 12th grade students
