Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Electronics Engineer to join our team in the Los Angeles/Long Beach area. This role is ideal for an individual with a strong foundation in embedded systems, PCB design, and industrial control systems. The ideal candidate will be hands on, detail-oriented, and experienced in both firmware and hardware troubleshooting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain firmware using C, GCC, Arduino, and Embedded Linux platforms.
- Develop and troubleshoot printed circuit boards (PCBs); perform validation and debugging using tools such as digital multimeters (DMM), logic analyzers, and digital oscilloscopes.
- Configure and maintain industrial communication protocols such as Modbus, CAN bus, Wiegand, serial communications & TCP/IP.
- Work on control system integration, including programming and troubleshooting PLCs.
- Apply engineering fundamentals to solve complex electrical/electronic design problems and develop innovative solutions based on project requirements and organizational standards.
- Lead in the start-up and debugging of new equipment and systems.
- Act as a creative thinker who quickly analyzes problems and efficiently works toward solutions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support product development from prototype to production.
- Prepare technical documentation and reports related to design, testing, and performance metrics.
- Perform all other job duties as assigned by the corporation.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Electroctronics Engineering or equivalent.
- 2+ years of experience as an Electrical or Electronics Engineer.
- Proven experience in embedded firmware development (C, GCC, Arduino, Embedded Linux).
- Strong electronic troubleshooting capabilities.
- Proficiency in PCB design and debugging (Altium365)
- Solid understanding of electronic manufacturing processes.
- Experience programming PLCs, HMIs & SCADA systems.
- Experience with hardware and safety circuit design for automated machines.
- Hands-on experience with test equipment such as DMMs, logic analyzers, and oscilloscopes.
- Strong knowledge of control systems and industrial networking (e.g., Modbus, network routing, hierarchical process control systems).
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment involving cross-functional teams and multiple engineering disciplines.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
