Position Status: Full-Time

Location: Austin, TX 78757

Pay Rate: $50,000/year

Requirements: Driver's License / Level II Security License

Position Summary

The Assistant Coordinator supports the Coordinator in planning, directing, and managing the daily site activities of assigned accounts and all Dedicated Officers and Supervisors. This role serves as a bridge between Supervisors and the Coordinator, ensuring operational execution, service consistency, and alignment with company standards. The Assistant Coordinator assists in driving performance metrics, employee development, and client satisfaction while maintaining efficient day-to-day operations. Flexible availability is required to meet business needs, including some overnights, weekends, and holidays as necessary. Exhibits strong Customer Service while working with Clients and maintaining a visible presence within the current business portfolio. Soft Skills:

  • Visioning: Understanding the big picture and requirements necessary to deliver services that reflect company values, goals, and purpose. Can you communicate company expectations clearly while reinforcing Signal’s vision and purpose to Supervisors and Officers?
  • Strategic Planning: Effective engagement, communication, planning, and execution of daily operational responsibilities while meeting established deadlines. Can you support operational KPIs while assisting the Coordinator in aligning staffing and service delivery with client needs?
  • Financial Acumen: Understanding company measurements while executing behaviors that drive performance. Can you monitor labor efficiencies, minimize overtime, and assist in maintaining operational performance standards?
  • Team Development: Communicate with Clients, Supervisors, team members, and management effectively and in a timely manner, receiving and relaying feedback while executing follow-up as needed. Can you coach Supervisors to enhance officer performance and maintain a positive team environment?
  • Project Management: Complete understanding and execution of daily operational tasks to efficiently deliver services that meet business needs. Can you oversee scheduling execution, ensure post order compliance, and follow up on incident reporting to maintain service quality?

Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Coordinator in maintaining overall quality of service to assigned accounts/clients.
  • Support direct operational KPIs including Labor Efficiencies (including overtime control), Dedicated Shift Completion, Employee Retention, and Customer Satisfaction.
  • Provide direct leadership and oversight to Branch Dedicated Supervisors, ensuring accountability, service execution, and compliance with company standards.
  • Assist in hiring, onboarding, and training Officers and Supervisors in partnership with the Coordinator.
  • Review daily activity and incident reports, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and timely follow-up.
  • Support scheduling oversight to ensure all contracted services are fulfilled while minimizing overtime and open shifts.
  • Conduct site visits, inspections, and ride-alongs to monitor service delivery, officer performance, and post order adherence.
  • Address client concerns promptly, escalating significant issues to the Coordinator while assisting in resolution implementation.
  • Monitor company policies and procedures through spot checks and inspections; recommend disciplinary action when appropriate in accordance with the employee handbook.
  • Assist with equipment oversight and ensure proper use and condition of franchise property.
  • Participate in weekly Coordinator meetings reviewing scorecards, operational priorities, delegation review, and client updates.
  • Foster a positive working environment through recognition programs, coaching, and consistent communication.
  • Notify the Coordinator of field issues, staffing challenges, or operational concerns requiring leadership support.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Associate or Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • 1–3 years of leadership or supervisory experience
  • Employment is contingent upon the results of background check and drug screen
  • Complete training modules within first month
  • Excellent organization, oral, and written communication skills
  • Ability to adapt to established procedures and identify and solve operational problems
  • Demonstrates leadership presence, professionalism, and sound decision-making
  • Ability to work under stress while maintaining service standards
  • Must be able to move equipment weighing up to 20 pounds
  • Must have valid driver’s license and good driving record
  • Must have reliable transportation
  • Must be able to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays as required
