Job Description

As a Forklift Operator, you will spend 80% of your workday operating a sit-down forklift at floor level, primarily responsible for moving bins to various locations on the production floor. The role includes inspecting loads, building pallets, picking orders, and general cleaning tasks. You will operate a single double forklift capable of picking up two pallets simultaneously.

Responsibilities

  • Promptly store bins of juice after they are filled and discharged from the filler in the HPP/Bottling area.
  • Ensure the HPP process is continuously supplied with juice, keeping bin dumpers stocked and ready.
  • Organize bins of juice to prevent any mixing and maintain efficient workflow.
  • Use NetSuite via computer, phone, or handheld devices for transporting materials in the bottling department.
  • Organize pallets and materials, manage dunnage, and load trailers.
  • Locate and deliver empty bins as needed for B1 and B2 bottling processes.
  • Move completed pallets onto the shrink wrap machine and accurately document pallet counts in Packaging/Packout.
  • Wrap and document pallets in real-time to prevent shifting during transport.
  • Organize areas within Packaging/Packout and return unused materials to designated areas using NetSuite/RF Smart systems.
  • Operate equipment safely, quickly, and efficiently while adhering to SOP, SSOP, GMP, and HACCP guidelines.
  • Report any safety concerns, issues, misuse of equipment, or work-related accidents promptly.
  • Ensure conveyors do not become backed up while fillers are running.
  • Retrieve necessary materials and return unused materials to their designated areas.
  • Maintain organization and cleanliness in Building 2 and assist with placing bins on bin dumpers.

Essential Skills

  • 1-2 years of sit-down forklift operation experience.
  • Proficiency with computers and handheld devices.
  • Experience with RF Smart systems required.
  • Ability to follow company policies, guidelines, and work instructions.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Data entry experience in NetSuite preferred.
  • Flexibility in performing various functions depending on the area of operation.
  • Experience assisting supervision, management, leads, and operators as needed.
  • Skilled in paperwork documentation.
  • Ability to lift 50lbs.

Work Environment

You will work in a growing company that offers opportunities for advancement. The environment may be wet or dry, with temperatures as low as 35&degree;F, similar to a Costco cold room. You will be assigned to any of the three buildings based on daily needs, with conditions varying from dry areas to refrigerator areas, and you will receive proper PPE such as coats and hand warmers for colder conditions.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Oceanside, California.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr.
