Mechanical Engineer – Warren, Ohio

Unitek is seeking a full-time Mechanical Engineer to join our growing operations team in Warren, OH. This role involves hands-on support of the development of High Voltage connection systems and Fast/Charging Inlets for Electric Vehicles. The Mechanical Engineer will assist the product engineers in their development work and focus on ensuring manufacturablity, cost, efficiency, and compliance.

Mechanical Engineer Key Responsibilities:

  • Product Development support with High Voltage connection systems.
  • meet internal targets for manufacturability, cost, and material usage.
  • Manage Bill of Material (BOM)
  • Oversee Material usage and planning, Develop tooling plans, and Coordinate Part orders
  • Provide Design Assistance, Support Prototype costing, and Assist in product validation
  • Participate in production design reviews
  • Collaborate with team members on Project Execution, Root Cause Analysis and Problem Solving.
  • Ensure compliance with customer specific requirements.

Mechanical Engineer Qualifications:

  • Must have a Bachelors in Mechanical Engineering or currently pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree with an Associate degree Mechanical Engineering.
  • Proficiency in using Microsoft Office (i.e., Word, Project, Excel, Outlook, Skype, Teams, etc.).
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Must have 1-2 years of relevant experience preferred.
  • Must be able to work 1st Shift (7:00AM-4:00PM or 8:00am-5:00pm)
  • Active college students may be considered if able to work 24-32 hours per week while attending school.

This position is Full-Time, Long-Term with a starting hourly rate range based on years of experience and education.


• Must be able to work 1st Shift (7:00AM-4:00PM or 8:00am-5:00pm)
